On the whole, our courier have done a pretty good job , but as the previous post shows, there can be the occasional issue. Which doesn't look good on us...
Just wondered, have any of you had any difficulties with Citylink, and if so were they resolved quickly and effortlessly? Would be interested to hear any comments here, purely for the purpose of seeing if there is any room for us to improve services...
Ta,
just add my 2p worth ...
Citylink have been great with me .. deliver to me at 10:45am all the time .. never late :D
well as i mentioned before, scan use them too, and i had some slight grief with an 'uppety' jobsworth at the local depot
it was finally resolved through scan, i was in no hurry for the part so it ended up ok.
One thing i would like to mention is a scottish only courier SPDS.......we used them at my old work, very friendly and helpful, and slightly cheaper too
just a thought

Amtrak are great - we used them at one stage but they cost twice as much as Citylink, and customers got narked with us 'ripping them off' on delivery charges, so we had to move on. Amtrak's depot is in East Kilbride I think? As far as I know the Symington closed a while ago, but on a personal note, I've found if they miss a delivery they will bring it to you later in the afternoon if you call them soon enough which can be handy for anyone who gets home at about 4pm from school or college (or work if you're lucky enough to finish at that time :) )
Keep posting here please people, it could be really useful to us, and everyone's comments will be taken into consideration
Citylink has been good to me. They have been doing an excellent job here and I use them a bit more often than the usual customer, but I will admit some of the boxes look like they have been mugged!(Always saved by G&Ts carefull packing)
i've never used citylink, or if i'm ordering from kustom i just need to use my own courier ( read hijack parents into driving me in :) ) but when i've used usp for other things, they've been 100% faultless always coming soonish, and once even lending a hand to shift a big box down the stairs (jolly nice people) plus they do have that cool "HEEEEEEEELLLLLO!! " advert if that counts for much :)

CityLink so far have been very good. Computer case, Ayr to Basingstoke only one day. On the other hand, Royal mail, recoded delivery, smallish parcels = 2 or even 3 days.

In november I had aproblem with City link.
The driver didn`t bother to call, yet he flagged to Kustom that he had in fact called.
Only when I complained did he admit he did not call. He also said he would not be calling the next day as he had that days deliveries to fulfill.
Only after a "serious" complain did he deliver.

I live in Manchester and I got my Antec (deffinetly not the smallest case in the world) the day after it was dispatched.

I could swear the Amtrak you're referring to is a different AmTrak to the one we know...

Positive Citylink message.
I called them this morning to ask when the package would be delivered as I had just finished nightshift, they said between 1.5 and 2 hours. 15 minutes later the guy was at my door, how's that for service.
Great service from Kustom and Citylink.

We're looking at TNT... out of interest would customers be prepared to pay £2 P+P on all orders, for a potentially better service? We have had a few probs with Citylink , and have investigated moving to TNT because they seem to be a little more reliable - BUT , would the cost be OK with our customers?
More like ****ty Link. They threw my parcel (pc-60 window) over my back gate. lucky it was well packed

We're finished with them, moved to TNT now for large items, or Royal Mail Special Delivery for smaller items.
Although we're probably going to have to add a couple of pounds here and there, as TNT are costing about £4 more per parcel
lol TNT. I take it you don't remember the time we were walking back from WH Smith back to the shop in the summer when we saw a TNT van and the guy chucking boxes in it and you said something like "I'm glad we don't use them".
lol :D.
Wonder if TNT will deliver to me? I'm TNT as well!

um was that tnt???
We've found them to be really good, they deliver stuff to us every day, and not had a problem yet.
Yeah that was TNT. That was a good few months ago now, hopefully they're fine now that you're using em :).

suppsodely, they're one of the best UK couriers - and I should hope so too, they're costing a lot more money than Citylink...
I don't know if we can keep up the free delivery on the web orders though with TNT - we'll see how it goes

to be honest - most of the stuff from the webstore goes to England anyway... very small number of Scottish orders by comparison
Just one thing on couriers (I assume that is still the topic) - don't use Omega - you can never collect the package at the weekend and it's very difficult to get them to change delivery location.
