Hi, the PSU is the last noisy component in my Shuttle, so before I order one, will the SilentX work ok in the SN41G2?

Or is there a better PSU to get?

Are these SilentX PSUs really silent?

I have now finsihed getting all the parts together for my Shuttle and have built it. I have taken the fan from my ATI 9000 Pro and installed just a heatsink, I have done the same with my motherboard, I have a quiet HHD, a silent 80mm fan for the exhaust but now its time for the power supply.

I am either going to change the 40mm fan in the PSU myself or get one of these new silent power supplies. I have never seen a review of one though so thought you guys might know. Are these really silent compared to the standard PSU?

How quiet are they? Could you sleep/watch a film through the noise?

I got a silent X at the weekend from Kustom and fitted it into my SN41G2. Works great :).

Its quieter than the older one, an Enhance PSU, but its not totally silent (compared to my passive Epia sys), alhtough you'll never get total silence from a Shuttle.
