My Shuttle has over time become increasingly noisy.....annoyingly so.I decided to do what I had, for ages now, planned to do.....change the ICE fan for a quieter one.
Open it up to do the job and found that the radiator was virtually completely blocked by dust and ...well,more dust.
Also took the opportunity to install the psu that I had modded with a Adda fan............guess what?.........the psu was also choked up with dust.

So people....if you have been running your Shuttle for more than 6 monthes and haven't had a look in there or cleaned it out do have a look........you might be surprised/shocked by what you find.

Or maybe I just live in a very dirty house?.....:D

Oh......and as a PS,my cpu temps have dropped by 10 degrees since I cleaned out the cr*p.

But Ryan, your house has vacuum cleaner ports built into the walls.....and thats just not normal!!!!!!

Never seen anything quite like it....1.5 inch diameter round sockets in walls to which pipe attaches to provide inbuilt vacuum.

It's not normal i tells ya!!!!!

its not a clean fetish i tells ya, its just the way it works in my house, rather drag a hose than a full vacuum cleaner up 3 flights of stairs thank you:)

i have a central vacuum cleaner and hoses run through the walls and allows you to plug hose into wall and use as hoover, saves carrying machinery around up and down stairs

thinking about it, you could plug your computer up to that and have really low temperatures.
