how easy was it to do ur CD drive mod ?? and what steps did u go thru ?
Well,
First of all i removed the back plate off the blanking plate, then I dremeled the back of the screws off and stuck the first two plates together then stuck the srews in the plates to re-create the origanal look. Then i simply Glue Gunnd the plate onto my drive.Wahla Fineto!

did u remove the front panel from the cd-drive?
ie.. the drawer front and the plastic front cover on the drive ?
Nope mine was relatively flat so i left it on and stuck the bezel right on the front.

grrr... mine has a curved part on the bezel and on the front case.
Take a dremel to it :)
I have done in the past, only to cheap 20 quid drives though. Lol

You can take the front bezels off CD drives normally. Try that and you should have a relatively flat piece to stock onto.
