Strange noises

Hiya I have recently (about 3 weeks ago) gone from a 214sei rover to a 2 litre sri vectra with kevs (seatbelt covers) got 1 little problem with it tho. when im in first gear and stationary and i go to accelerate off the lights there is every now and then a slight whining noise. I dunno what's going on cos if im moving slow and im in first but still moving it doesn't happen and it doesnt happen in any other gear.

Maybe im not using the gears right as its a big change of car plus i have only been driving 4 months. maybe more gas less clutch or visa versa??

if it only happens when you accelerate quickly then it will be the sound of your clutch slipping.
it will only get worse and means you need a new one.

oh crap i feared it may be that hope it wont be too expensive!

your probably looking £70 if you can fit it yourself.

£300+ odd if not

Luckily I have a friend of a friend who works at a garage said £100 to fit a new decent clutch XD
