Hi, Hope all you wonderful peeps can help
Just bought a shuttle sn41g2 and having a few probs...
Running an Athlon 2200+ in it, 1x512mb corsair PC2700 DDR, 120gb Maxtor HDD; Sony CD-RW/DVD...
Now, the problem, unpacked everyhting, looking lovely, installed all the bits, and it powers up but can't get past posting from the CPU... Power goes on, lights light up, aother devices power on, but no VGA signal or startup beeps...
Initially thought CPU prob, so checked and re-seated, no joy.
I've tried it with 2 other CPUs and 2 other RAM sticks which I know work perfectly (also I've tested the 2200 and ram in another machine with no probs).
Do I assume from this that my shuttle was DOA? Or it this something anyone else has experienced?
HELP!!!

1 stick of Corsair 512MB DDR266 PC2100...
Also Tried it with a couple of Kingston Sticks and a OCZ stick...
mine uses cheapy bog-standard PC2700 ram and works ok.
tried wiping the BIOS with the reset jumper and see what happens after that.
Try pluging the monitor into the other VGA connector on the back of the Shuttle and/or try sticking in an AGP graphics card.
If that doesnt work and clearing the cmos doesnt either then I think its doa :(.

yeah, tried all those... no joy :(
time for an RMA number methinks!
Whatever happened to the black athlon shuttles too... can't get them anywhere :(
Make sure all power connectors are on the board properly.
Reset the bios using the clear cmos jumper.
Try booting the system with just the CPU in it (no HDD etc) and the monitor connected to the onboard VGA connector and see if you can get to the post screen then.
Wouldnt give up getting it working quickly, took some time for me to sus out why mine wouldnt post when i first bought it.

Make sure the BIOS is reset. I had an issue where my shuttle refused to make it to BIOS with anything but a Duron in the system. I had to set a higher fsb speed, save to bios, turn off and insert my 3200xp :D . Can't remember if there are any manual jumpers to force FSB speed on the motherboard but I think its all entirely from the BIOS. So if you have a duron spare try it.

tried it with a duron 700, 1400 and xp 2200...
Have tried resetting the CMOS but no joy... It won't even pass a signal through to the monitor so I can check anything like the BIOS settings :(. Just power on and nothing, lovely blue led and whirring fan... no signal display from the VGA... Tried it in both VGA ports and with a separate AGP Card (although I presume you'd have to set the AGP as the primary device in the BIOS - chance would be a fine thing!)
*sigh*

have u tried running the kit outta the box, cause there could be a shorting issue ??
with that problem id say its a mainboard problem, when i struck a board ages ago -it caused the same diagnostic :(
