can I run a p4 3.2 800HT with ddr2700 (333) memory dual channel in a SB75G2?

Yes. However it will be the bottle neck. Would be better with faster mem but ddr1700 is cheaper (especially if you already have a gig of the stuff like me)

On what chipset is this ?

Only canterwood and springdale support this I think.

And the mem needs to be in DIMMS 1 & 3 ... It should be automatically enabled ... if not there is an option in the BIOS.

Nah, there are more Intel chipsets that use Dual Channel DDR, like Granite Bay. And I'm sure my Abit BH7 has it.......let me keep!! ;)

surely you NEED 400mhz ddr memory in order to run at the required 800mhz fsb.

running 333mhz memory will only allow the processor to run at 2664mhz.

The cpu and memory will run asynchronously.

The cpu will run at full speed and mem will run at ddr333.

But with that config you will not be able to use the full potential of the P4C

The speed increase from the new 800 mhz processors is much more so from the increased memory bandwidth rather than the increased clock speed.

My recommendation to you would be to sell the ddr333 and get yourself some nice ddr400 mem. Preferably with low CAS latency if you can.
