Hi,
I was thinking about moving to a SFF PC as its time for an upgrade and i may be going to uni this september (dont fancy lugging around tower + monitor). Anyway i have a few questions about shuttles which i am mainly looking at and pricing up.
1: SB75G2 or SN85G4? Don't want to offend anyone whose got one but imho the sn85 looks damn ugly :D Is it worth going for the athlon64 or a nice overclocked p4 (was looking at getting a 2.8ghz sl6z5 stepping, meant to be good overclockers).
2: Noise? How bad is the fan noise from the SB75G2 and how can it be tamed? I was thinking of getting one of the 250W silent PSU's and changing the ICE fan to a noiseblocker S3 (38.22cfm& 14-26dbA at full speed) the sunon that comes with the ice is rated at 42.5CFM & 36.5dbA.
3: HDD Drives? I would be looking at getting SATA Raid ideally, any advice on which drives are fastest, quietest and run coolest. I have heard the samsung spinpoint ones are good ones on all 3 counts...

corsair xms4000 twinx 1gb
2 samsung 120gb sata HDD
plextor px-708a DVD writer (black)
Hercules 9800se AIW (just bought this for my current rig, softmods great) :D
Soundblaster Audigy2 (also in current rig)
