my 2.4 faster than 3.0 ??

I ran a benchmark on my p4c 2.4 ghz and it seems to scream past most of the processors ?!?!?!

Could the rest of my setup be giving it the extra speed ?!?!

lol trust me it aint faster than a 3ghz fsb 800 mhz

that program is telling porkies cos when i done it mien is faster than a 3.2 and no doubt if someone does it with a 3.2 it will be faster still

i dunno sisoft is very accurate with its ratings, but u gotta remember it how well the system is setup aswell, because its only being compared to a lab computer -all sorts of variable come into play mostly bandwidth issues and they can contribute to the overall score -some times you can build a system thatl scream past anyting of compariable spec because it just runs so well in harmony -and it does happen and im sure some of u that have had systems u can relate to.

id do some more benchmarking, perhaps PCmark to compare it to real systems online and see how it compares

I have made an effort to make sure all aspects of the pc are up to scratch
am running hard disks in RAID... 1.5 gigs of 3200 dual channel memory..... 9800 xt video board....

i will do as suggested and try some more benchmarks

As for the taskbar... its a freeware proggy called object dock....
