Any Judo fighters in here?

I'm just interested as to how many people do judo around here? I have been doing judo internationally for about 11 years and love it :)

After the Judo instructor smashed my head against the floor on my first lesson and knocked me unconscious leaving me with migranes for the next year I tend to have just lost interest in martial arts in general! :rolleyes:

bless, well thats kinda harsh. Granted like all sports you may get hurt and injured but thats life. i can understand you being put off though i guess it was a bad experience :)

I've looked into it but I have a really short attention span and would probably stop going after the third week. If I were to do a grappling martial art, I'd probably pick Ju-jitsu over Judo though.

I have broken my right ankle, right tibia, right fibula (twice) and my right radius. I have spent a total of 4 weeks in various hospitals dotted around the country and have suffered the attentions of metal detector wielding security guards ever since. Why do I keep going back for more? Because I love the sport of my choice. Rugby. If you love what you do enough, an injury is just one of those things that prevents you doing it for a while!

Absolutely loved the sport when i was a young un (10-14) Remember goin to a grading for me junior blue with a broken arm.Got it too, thank god i had some duff oponents and understanding officials, together with a sympethetic partner for my Kata's.Unfortunately i then discovered the joys of women n booze........... nuff said.

Not Judo but competed in Tae-Kwon Do across the UK for 3-4 years, had to quit just before my black belt, I'd done so much damage I needed surgery on my back. Would have gone back but breaking my pelvis in three places in a motrbike accident put pay to that

i was Green belt when i was like 8 or somet, but then hurt my knees so had to stop :(
