I was expecting a delivery today so i stayed in.

i waited and waited. heard no doorbell or knock on the door..so at 2pm i go down stairs to get some food. low and behold pocking through the letter box is the classic 'We have a parcel for you' and 'we tried to deliver a package while u were out'

hmmmm weird that cos i wasnt out and my car was in the driveway with some windows open. I didnt hear a knock or the door bell ring. so i am miffed as to why he thought i was out:mad:

damn delivery drivers

It is very strange, they deliver to your house, they creep up the path and sneak the card through the door making sure not to rattle the letterbox, if they're delivering next door, they sound like a herd of buffalo and wake you up at 8 in the morning on your day off?
I'm almost convinced its a game they play to keep themselves amused (as a change from parcel football)...

I think you might be right - in the same way that they wait at the end of the road until 5 minutes after you've gone out because you figured that it was too late now and it must be coming tomorrow.

I bet he got to your house and realised he left the parcel at the depot, so he sheepishly snuk a card through your door so as to absolve himself of sin.

Tell Graeme or someone, because they're noramlly really good. I have a 100% success rate ordering from this here shop and it's the length of England away from my house.

Last Saturday, my local postie knocked loudly on the door with a parcel at 6:45am

My wife wasn't impressed.....but then neither was the postie when greeted by me shivering on the doorstep in me pants.

Shoulda been grateful I had pants!!!

If I ever get packages from Royal Mail at home, he get my Dad, at around that time. My Dad isn't usually too impressed.

However at Uni it's a different story altogerther. The postie usually arrives around 11 ish :)

To get back to the thread, bad luck Guybirch. Citylink have been pretty good to me. I thought JKustom used Interlink now anyway? Or did you request City Link?

LOL, you want to try living on a bloody island! No City Link depot!
You miss em, you've got to phone the depot and organise re-delivery, and somebody to be in on the day they do! They NEVER give you a time either, so It's a whole day wasted....

Thing is, Im on first name terms with the Citylink depot & driver at my folks house, at my term-time address I live next door to a guy who works at the Royal Mail sorting office & the franchised Citylink depot isnt far away at all - Ive never had any problems :p

Securicor is the one I hate, no, infact I detest them. Only had the one or two parcels but every time they have lost it or I've waited a minimum of 3 weeks for delivery :(

Hope your parcel arrives soon guybirch.

I always seem to miss city link also. My "local" depot is about 15 miles away in Dunchurch. I can never get there untill a weekend, when I have to beg for a lift of a friend or relative.

Now, Business Post on the other hand... The local is in the same city at least and I can pick up a parcel 24hrs a day! :)

I have a mate who works for Securicor. He's a bit of a derek sometimes, so I guess it sums up the company... (he's still a good mate though).

Yeah, its pretty bad :( You think you're at the right one, then you find at the last second its not the right junction, its actually another 100 metres up the road and have to swirve back into the dual lane A road... Shocking

Kinda reminds me of this guy that delivered to a place I used to work at. Driving an arctic lorry, he only brings half the order having left the rest at the previous stop 45miles away. His bosses end up phoning him, so we're ****ed off, he's ****ed off and his bosses are ****ed off. His last comment on leaving was "I might as well wrap this b****y lorry around a tree".

15 minutes later we get a call from people we knew further up the road - after leaving the town and only getting about half a mile up the road he does just that - drops the lorry into the ditch! He came out ok, but jobless!

E-mail kustom, if it was at the depot its probably been returned to kustom.

Not sure if that's going to be one of ours (please let me know if I'm wrong!) but both Citylink and Interlink contact us if they're having trouble delivering a package or if it's held.

It's then our responsibility to work out a resolution between courier and customer...
